\u00a8The Office\u00a8...the doors open up to a lovely courtyard and my room will be the first on the left.<\/p><\/div>\n

That\u00b4s right, I\u00b4m moving in! \u00a0My lovely week with Guadelupe, Ilse and Gordo is over on Sunday morning and I was going to go back to the hotel I stayed in last week for a week or so because I know a few people there or I was going to move into this other place closer to the school I want to attend the following week, but Stef said there was a room available at la oficina<\/em> and I\u00b4d be welcome to stay there. \u00a0It\u00b4s about $100 for the entire month,\u00a0\u00a1FANT\u00c1STICO! <\/em>There\u00b4s a kitchen entonces<\/em> puedo cocinar desayuno, almuerzo y cena <\/em>and it\u00b4s really really close to work!<\/p>\n

Went over design ideas with Stef today and he seemed to really like them, so full steam ahead! \u00a0I sketched it using Spanish explanations, and I\u00b4ll take some pics of the layout in the next few days and post, but I had to explain it to him in a mix of English and Spanish. \u00a0Good thing I had pictures! \u00a0Also started playing around with Spanish Photoshop today and will be working with Spanish InDesign too. \u00a0So psyched, this project should really intensify what I\u00b4m learning in school.<\/p>\n

So today we did the imperfect tense. \u00a0Y mi tarea de el pret\u00e9rito fue perfecta! <\/em>I\u00b4m still such a teacher\u00b4s pet.\u00a0I just can\u00b4t help myself. \u00a0\u00a0We did some great exercises today and I translated a bunch of sentences and Miriam was really impressed and\u00a0keeps telling me how well I\u00b4m doing, but I still feel inept when I speak. \u00a0Our first conversation was about a dream I had last night. \u00a0It was about Matthew Fox and in the dream I was trying to seduce him with the past tense and stomach exercises. \u00a0I think the abdominal theme of the dream comes from my omnipresent money belt, which I\u00b4ve been calling mi est\u00f3mago extra. <\/em>Anyway, apparently that combo works, because he was very interested and after we did some sit-ups, he asked me to go to lunch, but I didn\u00b4t put two and two together and stupidly said no, because I already ate. \u00a0 He looked really surprised and disappointed and that was the end of the dream. \u00a0So I did all those stomach excercise por nada.<\/em> Sheesh. \u00a0Of course, when I told Miriam the dream, I used the past tense, and I was so excited to use it correctly…who knew that one of the uses of the imperfect tense is to describe dreams.<\/p>\n

Okay, weather update. \u00a0It was absolutely gorgeous today. \u00a0Sunny, dry, cool. \u00a0There were some threatening clouds after lunch (which was hamburgeusas peque\u00f1as, ensalada de macaroni y tortillas<\/em>) but it only sprinkled a bit in the middle of the afternoon. \u00a0Right now, it\u00b4s pouring, complete with scary thunder and lightning. \u00a0Started a few minutes ago. \u00a0MUY LOCO. <\/em><\/p>\n
