\u00a0Celas Maya has great supplementary activities like traditional cooking classes and hiking tours. \u00a0So does Pop Wuj, and Pop Wuj is also affiliated with a volunteer project that builds stoves for families in extremely poor communities. \u00a0And I just liked the person at Miguel Cervantes. \u00a0Maybe some of you can weigh in and let me know what you think.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/triciakarsay.com\/guatemala\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/IMG_0329.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-174\" title=\"IMG_0329\" src=\"http:\/\/triciakarsay.com\/guatemala\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/IMG_0329-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/triciakarsay.com\/guatemala\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/IMG_0329-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/triciakarsay.com\/guatemala\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/IMG_0329-1024x682.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>After visiting Pop Wuj, I found a little tamalito seller on <em>calle 1a entre 16 u 15 avenidas<\/em>. \u00a0I got <em>siete tamalitos con chipolinos<\/em> for about 35 cents. \u00a0I have no idea what <em>chipolinos<\/em> are, they look like chives, but who knows. \u00a0They\u00b4re delicious whatever they are. \u00a0I still have 6 left.<\/p>\n<p>After my <em>tamalito<\/em> quest, I went to <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.entremundos.org\/en\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\">Entremundos<\/a>, <\/em>a clearinghouse of volunteer opportunities in Xela, to see if they had any interesting projects. \u00a0I am already considering two different projects, but wanted to see if there was anything else available in sustainable tourism or archaeology. \u00a0After filling out a form, I started chatting with the coordinator about my skills and she couldn\u00b4t believe their luck that they just happened to get a call yesterday from an organization that urgently needed someone with graphic design skills to design their 10th anniversary calendar. \u00a0 So off I went to another confusing <em>avenida\/calle<\/em> combo to chat with the directors and voil\u00e1, I am now designing a calendar for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.proyectopayaso.org\/nuevaweb\/?q=en\/node\/58\" target=\"_self\">Proyecto Payaso<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Okay, I\u00b4m getting kicked out of this internet cafe so that\u00b4s all I can post today!
